Awarded the \u201cHavmann\u201d prize in 2020. Her third novel, Moments for Eternity<\/em> was the Norwegian nominee for the European Union Prize for Literature 2022.<\/p>\n

Can I Come Home with You<\/em> was a huge success in Norway, selling more than 10,000 copies. Grown-ups<\/em> is her first novel.<\/p>\n

Cecilie Enger was born in 1963, and has studied history, Norwegian and journalism. Her big break through came with\u00a0Mother\u2019s Gifts<\/em> in 2013, which sold internationally and earned her the Booksellers\u2019 Prize that year. She is perhaps best known for biographical and historically-inspired novels as well as strong portraits of female characters.<\/p>\n

The book has been printed in 61,000 copies in Norway, and won the Young Reader\u2019s Critics\u2019 Prize (similar to the French Goncourt des Lyceens). It has also been hugely successful in Sweden and Germany, and was the runner-up in the Bonnier Book Club\u2019s Books of the year 2018.<\/p>\n
