The event, organised by the History and Culture Foundation and Projekt Ksi\u0105\u017cka sp. z o.o.,\u00a0 will use the capacity of the venue on a scale that has not been seen before, turning the stadium into go-to destination for readers, authors, publishers, and cultural institutions from Poland and abroad.<\/p>\n

Warsaw welcomes the Emirate of Sharjah as the Guest of Honour and will host a group of distinguished writers, poets, scholars and artists who represent various generations and movements of contemporary Emirati literature. The Guest of Honour programme reflects the richness and diversity of Emirati cultural landscape. The list of topics includes theatre in Sharjah, the evolution of Emirati novel as a reflection of social change, aesthetics of contemporary Emirati poetry, the dynamics of contemporary cultural life in the Arab world and its connections to artistic and intellectual developments in world literature. Prestigious literary awards will be presented, including the European Union Prize for Literature, the Ryszard Kapu\u015bci\u0144ski Memorial Award, and the ICARUS Award.
