About the History and Culture Foundation
We exist since 2004. We publish historical books, organize fairs and literary open airs including: the Warsaw International Book Fair, the Historical Book Fair with the competition for the KLIO Award, the Book Fair in Katowice, the Literary Open Air in Gdynia and the Autumn Book Fair. We implement projects aimed at popularizing historical knowledge and popularizing reading through an attractive model of presenting Polish and world literature.
In 2022, we organized four fair events and one literary open-air, i.e.:
- we provided the audience with 18 days of contact with literature and its creators;
- we had 1,020 exhibitors in total;
- 1,380 authors took part in our events;
- 1,660 meetings with authors took place on stages and at exhibitors’ stands;
- we were visited by approx. 182,000 people!
we conducted and resolved three competitions – for the KLIO Award, the Academia Award and the Grand Prix of the Criminal Warsaw Festival
